The Lipid Competency Certificate Program offers a competency assessment and credentialing pathway for healthcare professionals or para professionals with an interest or involvement in field of dyslipidemia. There is no specific licensure to work experience required to apply for the program.
The LCC is ideal for those who wish to demonstrate a core competency in lipid management through assessing their knowledge of Clinical Lipidology to receive recognition from the ACCL.
To qualify to sit for the exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Applicants must have earned a minimum of 10 continuing education credit hours in Clinical Lipidology, from a US or Canadian-based accrediting body, in the previous two calendar years. Applicants can satisfy the CE requirements by completing any CE/CME accredited courses focused on lipid management or CVD prevention, or any of the following National Lipid Association educational activities:
The LCC examination was created at the intermediate level of difficulty and consists of approximately 50 multiple choice questions.
